    CIMB Group is a leading KL-headquartered ASEAN universal bank, one of the largest investment banks in Asia and one of the largest Islamic banks in the world. CIMB also has an extensive retail banking network of around 850 branches serving more than 13.5 million customers. Beyond ASEAN, we also have a presence in China & Hong Kong, India, Sri Lanka, Korea, the US and the UK.

    Their Goal

    CIMB had teamed up with The Color Run to give out exclusive race tickets and packages to the races happening in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

    The Challenge

    We had to come up with different formats for the game to make it fun and relevant to the different races in the 3 countries. For instance, the race in Singapore was a night race so the context and design of the game had to mimic that.

    The Process

    Users were challenged to make Octo (CIMB’s mascot) win the ‘race’ in the games we churned out. There was a leaderboard to help users check their ranking and for shareability of the game, we provided an option where users can invite friends to move ahead in the race.
